Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art, Craft and Design, and Photography up to A Level.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students of all abilities and promote progression.
  • Collaborate with the department to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  • Participate in wider school responsibilities, including pastoral and extra-curricular activities.
  • Support the school’s commitment to community engagement and student development.
  • Maintain high standards of organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement and expansion.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience teaching Art, Craft and Design in a secondary school (ages 11–16 essential; 11–18 desirable).
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to sequence skills and knowledge effectively.
  • A proven record of delivering outstanding teaching and achieving high levels of student progress.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Photography.
  • Experience with wider school responsibilities, including pastoral or extra-curricular roles.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in a school with a strong community focus.
