A Temporary Art Teacher is needed to join a dynamic and expanding department. The role offers the chance to inspire students across all Key Stages, using a variety of traditional and digital mediums. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Art, Craft and Design, and Photography up to A Level.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students of all abilities and promote progression.
- Collaborate with the department to develop and enhance the curriculum.
- Participate in wider school responsibilities, including pastoral and extra-curricular activities.
- Support the school’s commitment to community engagement and student development.
- Maintain high standards of organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement and expansion.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Experience teaching Art, Craft and Design in a secondary school (ages 11–16 essential; 11–18 desirable).
- Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to sequence skills and knowledge effectively.
- A proven record of delivering outstanding teaching and achieving high levels of student progress.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values and mission.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Photography.
- Experience with wider school responsibilities, including pastoral or extra-curricular roles.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Experience in a school with a strong community focus.
