Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and knowledge-rich lessons using the Explicit Direction Instruction model.
  • Support students in achieving strong outcomes in RE up to GCSE level.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced teachers to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a rigorous and inclusive curriculum.
  • Promote the school’s values of respect, excellence, and responsibility in all aspects of teaching.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the school to enhance student learning and pastoral care.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve strong student outcomes.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and culture.
  • Experience working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Explicit Direction Instruction model of teaching.
  • Familiarity with SACRE (Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education) and collaborative working with other schools.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department.
  • Background in pastoral care or student support.
