Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and knowledge-rich lessons using the Explicit Direction Instruction model.
- Support students in achieving strong outcomes in RE up to GCSE level.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced teachers to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a rigorous and inclusive curriculum.
- Promote the school’s values of respect, excellence, and responsibility in all aspects of teaching.
- Work closely with colleagues across the school to enhance student learning and pastoral care.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve strong student outcomes.
- Commitment to the school’s values and culture.
- Experience working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with the Explicit Direction Instruction model of teaching.
- Familiarity with SACRE (Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education) and collaborative working with other schools.
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department.
- Background in pastoral care or student support.
