The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Art and Design Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis, starting in April 2026. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student outcomes and contribute to a school that is consistently improving and achieving excellent results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality ACD lessons to Key Stages 3 & 4 students.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum.
• Support the school's commitment to student progress and achievement.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Art, Craft & Design.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver excellent outcomes for students.
• Experience of teaching Key Stages 3 & 4.
• Commitment to student progress and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience of working within a multi-academy trust.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a large school setting.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
• Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices.
