The Opportunity:

As Vice Principal (Finance & Resources), you will provide strategic financial leadership and support to the school’s senior leadership team. This role is critical in ensuring the effective management of financial and operational resources, and in contributing to the overall success and development of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the financial operations of the school, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Lead and support key areas such as College Administration, Catering, Sustainability Strategy, and IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Principal (Curriculum) on trips and visits, and with the Assistant Principal (Quality) on quality assurance initiatives.
  • Oversee the management of the library, ensuring it supports the academic and pastoral needs of students and staff.
  • Liaise with external bodies such as the Data Protection Officer and other regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and legal requirements, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Support the implementation of MIS (Management Information Systems) and other digital tools to enhance administrative efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the school’s long-term strategic plan.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an educational institution, preferably in a finance or resources capacity.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation in a school or college setting.
  • Experience in managing large-scale administrative and operational functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the school community.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies within an educational context.
  • Familiarity with MIS systems and other digital tools used in educational administration.
  • Experience in managing catering services or other support functions within a school.
  • Knowledge of data protection and compliance regulations.
