The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to assist individual or small groups of students in their learning across the curriculum. This role is essential in supporting students to reach their full potential and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a supportive relationship with the assigned student.
  • Collaborate with staff to understand the specific learning needs of the student.
  • Support in-class learning and social interactions under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Monitor and track student progress against IEP targets and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Adapt resources and lesson plans as required to support individual learning needs.
  • Provide personalized support outside of the classroom when necessary.
  • Perform break duties and attend staff meetings when requested.
  • Support the Oasis department with cover and administrative tasks when required.
  • Follow all school policies and procedures while being adaptable to changing circumstances.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least a High School Diploma.
  • Recent and relevant school-based experience in a classroom or 1:1 support setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • CACHE Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in special educational needs support.
  • Familiarity with IEPs and inclusive education practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student welfare and academic success.
