Key Responsibilities:

• Review student responses and apply the mark scheme accurately and consistently.
• Participate in standardisation sessions to ensure a clear understanding of marking requirements.
• Complete marking tasks remotely over a period of approximately one month.
• Commit an average of 15 to 20 hours per week during the exam period.
• Receive full training and ongoing support from AQA’s experienced team.
• Collaborate with a community of subject specialists to share best practice and improve marking skills.
• Ensure timely submission of work in line with deadlines and contractual obligations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• At least three full terms of teaching experience in your chosen subject and level within the last five years.
• A senior referee who can verify your relevant experience.
• Availability during the marking and standardisation period.

Preferred

• A degree, teaching qualification, or equivalent in your subject.
• Experience in Economics, Geography, Religious Studies, or Sociology.
• Current teacher or ECT (Early Career Teacher) status.
