The Opportunity:
As a Holiday Club Manager, you will lead a well-established childcare service that offers children a safe, engaging and educational experience during school holidays. This role is ideal for a passionate and organised professional who is committed to delivering high-quality care and inspiring young minds in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a high-quality holiday club programme that complements the school’s curriculum
- Oversee staff supervision, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted requirements
- Plan and deliver a stimulating and engaging programme for children from the school and wider community
- Liaise with parents, the Bursar, and Head of HR to ensure smooth operations and communication
- Maintain budget oversight and ensure effective use of resources
- Ensure the premises are secure and properly managed during opening and closing times
- Act as an ambassador for the school and uphold its values and standards at all times
- Prepare and plan for the holiday club during the five-week preparation period, including both home-based and office-based work
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in managing a childcare service or similar role
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Ofsted standards and compliance procedures
Preferred
- Experience in an educational setting
- Familiarity with school operations and pastoral care
- Knowledge of child development and curriculum planning
- Experience with managing a team of staff
- Flexibility to work during school holidays and manage a varied schedule
