The Opportunity:

As a Holiday Club Manager, you will lead a well-established childcare service that offers children a safe, engaging and educational experience during school holidays. This role is ideal for a passionate and organised professional who is committed to delivering high-quality care and inspiring young minds in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a high-quality holiday club programme that complements the school’s curriculum
  • Oversee staff supervision, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted requirements
  • Plan and deliver a stimulating and engaging programme for children from the school and wider community
  • Liaise with parents, the Bursar, and Head of HR to ensure smooth operations and communication
  • Maintain budget oversight and ensure effective use of resources
  • Ensure the premises are secure and properly managed during opening and closing times
  • Act as an ambassador for the school and uphold its values and standards at all times
  • Prepare and plan for the holiday club during the five-week preparation period, including both home-based and office-based work

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing a childcare service or similar role
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Ofsted standards and compliance procedures

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting
  • Familiarity with school operations and pastoral care
  • Knowledge of child development and curriculum planning
  • Experience with managing a team of staff
  • Flexibility to work during school holidays and manage a varied schedule
