Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Economics lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources and teaching techniques.
  • Support students through personal tutoring, monitoring their progress and offering guidance.
  • Contribute to the school’s enrichment programme by offering additional activities or events.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning through continuous reflection and improvement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, both in-house and externally.
  • Work closely with the Library & Curriculum Support Officer to access and utilise learning resources effectively.
  • Encourage student motivation, independence, and academic success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good degree in a relevant subject and a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DET).
  • Current or recent experience of teaching A Level Economics or a closely related subject.
  • A thorough understanding of Economics and its relevance to A Level study.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or resource creation.
  • Experience with personal tutoring and student support.
  • A commitment to enrichment activities and extracurricular engagement.
