The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Economics lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and performance.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and initiatives that support student enrichment and development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in Economics education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Relevant degree in Economics or a related subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching A Level Economics.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Familiarity with the Step Into Your Future scheme or similar initiatives.
  • Experience with digital learning tools and resources.
  • Leadership experience or the ability to take on departmental responsibilities.
