Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at the appropriate level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain high standards of behavior.
  • Commitment to the school’s core values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience in working within an academy trust or similar multi-academy organization.
