The Opportunity:
As the Director of Modern Foreign Languages, you will play a pivotal role in driving school improvement and securing outstanding outcomes for students. You will be part of a dynamic central team, working closely with senior leaders to shape the future of the school and support the vision of the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Modern Foreign Languages curriculum to ensure outstanding student outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership teams across the Trust to promote the school’s values and vision.
- Drive innovation and creativity in teaching and learning practices.
- Support and mentor teachers to enhance their professional development and performance.
- Work closely with the Executive Headteacher and other Directors to implement school improvement strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders, including governors and parents, to build strong relationships and inspire confidence.
- Ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning are maintained across all levels.
- Contribute to the Trust’s strategic growth and development plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, preferably in a school improvement capacity.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Demonstrated success in driving academic outcomes and school improvement.
- Deep knowledge of Modern Foreign Languages teaching and curriculum development.
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative structure.
Preferred
- Experience in leading and developing staff across multiple schools or educational settings.
- A track record of implementing innovative teaching strategies and achieving high standards of student achievement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with school improvement and Ofsted inspection processes.
