The Opportunity:

As the IT & Digital Innovation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the school’s digital strategy, ensuring robust IT infrastructure, systems support, and cyber security. This is a senior role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the school’s IT infrastructure and digital services.
  • Ensure the security, compliance, and future-readiness of networks, systems, and cyber security arrangements.
  • Lead and develop a team of IT, Network & Systems Engineers and Developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused IT service to staff and students.
  • Support the Head of IT & Digital Innovation in achieving strategic goals and priorities.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in digital innovation.
  • Ensure all systems are aligned with the school’s mission and educational objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise in areas such as SQL, network management, and data systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree (or equivalent) in ICT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience managing complex data systems.
  • Knowledge of cyber security principles and compliance.
  • Experience managing networks, servers, and infrastructure.
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred

  • Professional certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCNA, Microsoft, ITIL, or PRINCE2.
  • Experience with educational MIS systems, particularly Cedar and Unit-E.
