The Opportunity:

As the Academic Director of Studies, you will lead and support a team of highly skilled tutors, ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of curriculum support and student progression. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about academic excellence and student development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of tutors, including direct line management of principal tutors.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students and families throughout their educational journey.
• Develop and implement academic services and identify new opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with senior management to shape company practices and strategies.
• Oversee the management of resources, including textbooks, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
• Specialise in a subject area and contribute to the academic direction of the centre.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Fully qualified UK teacher with experience managing a busy team.
• Extensive experience in UK curricula, including 6th form.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build clear, empathetic relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a team and meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment, positivity, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Familiarity with international curricula such as the IB.
• Experience managing complex family and student relationships.
• Excellent Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject area such as English, Maths, Science, Business, or Economics.
