The Opportunity:

As a Primary Vice Principal, you will provide strategic and operational leadership within the Primary School, working closely with the Principal. This role is integral to supporting high-quality learning, student wellbeing, and the implementation of the IB PYP framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visible, values-driven leadership aligned with the school’s mission and IB philosophy.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Primary School Annual Operating Plan.
  • Facilitate professional growth through coaching and collaboration with teaching staff.
  • Lead the design and review of systems that support student wellbeing, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Oversee restorative approaches to behaviour and proactive wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and emergency procedures.
  • Manage timetabling and scheduling to optimize learning and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate student support structures with counselling and learning support teams.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and the wider community through proactive communication.
  • Represent the school at events and promote Primary School programmes and achievements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification; Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership preferred.
  • Leadership experience in pastoral care, school operations, or student support.
  • Experience with timetabling and scheduling.
  • Knowledge and leadership experience in international or IB settings.

Preferred

  • Teaching experience in the home country.
  • International experience and intercultural competence.
