The Opportunity:

As a Primary School Homeroom Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering a supportive, inspiring learning environment. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality curriculum while providing exceptional pastoral care to students from Foundation Stage 1 through Year 6.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding pastoral care to students in your form, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity among students.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and strengths of all pupils.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Support the school’s admissions process and contribute to the broader school community.
  • Uphold the school’s ethos and values in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant teaching experience, preferably in a primary or junior school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to student welfare and the school’s mission and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as the UK National Curriculum or IB.
  • Experience in admissions or student recruitment.
  • Fluency in English and other languages may be an advantage.
