The Opportunity:

As an After School Care Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and engagement of pupils aged 7-11 during after-school hours. Working collaboratively with another member of staff, you will contribute to a positive and structured environment that supports student development and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a group of pupils aged 7-11 in a safe and engaging manner after school hours.
  • Ensure the smooth running of after-school activities and programs.
  • Maintain a calm, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and school staff regarding student progress and behavior.
  • Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to after-school care.
  • Assist with the organization and management of resources and equipment.
  • Provide care and guidance to students in a nurturing and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistency in student care and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience of working with children in a supervisory or care-related role.
  • A calm, positive, and patient demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting or school environment.
  • Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience with managing groups of children in a structured environment.
  • Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary of £5,350.80, term time only including holiday pay.
  • Part-time working hours (4pm to 6pm, 5 days per week, term time only).
