The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Enhancement team. This role will support students with additional needs across the school and provide administrative support to the Head of Learning Enhancement (SENCo). The position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with additional needs in both academic and pastoral settings.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities tailored to individual student requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Learning Enhancement (SENCo) and the Learning Enhancement team.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent and effective approach to student support.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular updates to relevant staff members.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Assist in the organisation of extra-curricular and pastoral events.
  • Ensure all school policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with additional needs in an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently within a team environment.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational support role.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and disability (SEND) support strategies.
  • Experience with teaching assistants or similar roles in a school environment.
  • Familiarity with educational software and administrative systems.
