The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly After School Club Assistant to join our pre-prep team. This role offers a chance to make a positive impact on young children aged 3 to 6, while working in a supportive and vibrant school community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging children in creative and educational activities during the after school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support pupils in a safe and stimulating environment
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities such as arts, crafts, games, and play
  • Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all children during after school hours
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a consistent and positive approach
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming space for children and visitors
  • Follow all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection guidelines
  • Support the school’s ethos and values in all interactions with pupils and colleagues

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children aged 3 to 6, ideally in a school, nursery, or after school setting
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • A full and relevant level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Experience in delivering creative and educational activities for young children
  • Knowledge of Catholic school values and ethos
