The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Learning Support Assistant and make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth. This role is essential in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support curriculum delivery with individuals and small groups of students
  • Assess and record student progress, contributing to regular reports
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and parental consultations
  • Support student wellbeing and contribute to the pastoral system
  • Participate in performance management processes
  • Maintain accurate records and provide exam support
  • Collaborate with staff and families to support student reintegration or transitions
  • Comply with safeguarding requirements and contribute to a safe learning environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE English & Maths (grade C/4 or above)
  • Evidence of relevant professional development
  • Willingness to undertake additional training
  • Experience working with children or young people

Preferred

  • Experience in SEN support
  • Experience monitoring and recording student progress
  • Understanding of SEN needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to support learning across a range of subjects
  • Good organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Effective teamwork abilities
