The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Theatre Technician to assist in the operation of the Hammond Theatre and other performance spaces. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all events and productions run smoothly and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of stage and performance equipment.
• Support the Theatre team with technical aspects of productions and events.
• Ensure all performance spaces are prepared and maintained to a high standard.
• Collaborate with theatre staff, performers, and external contractors to deliver successful events.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during rehearsals and performances.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and inventory.
• Participate in the planning and execution of school events and performances.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all theatre-related activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in a theatre or performance-related role.
• Strong technical knowledge of stage machinery, lighting, and sound systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality performances and events.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of theatre production software and tools.
• Previous experience with event management or stage management.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
