The Opportunity:
As an Alumni and Events Officer, you will play a vital role in strengthening the connection between the school and its alumni. This role involves managing communications, organizing events, and ensuring alumni feel engaged and valued. Your work will help maintain a vibrant and supportive community that supports the school’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain an accurate alumni database to ensure effective communication and engagement.
- Plan, organize, and execute a dynamic programme of alumni events throughout the year.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance alumni participation and involvement.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure events are well-attended and impactful.
- Provide timely and professional communication to alumni through various channels.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of events and communications to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support the school’s mission by promoting a sense of community and belonging among alumni.
- Ensure all records and communications are up-to-date and reflect the school’s values and objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in event management or community engagement.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in using database management systems.
- A proactive and personable approach with a commitment to building relationships.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of alumni relations and engagement best practices.
- Experience with event planning and logistics.
- Familiarity with the use of marketing and communications tools.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary between £26,000 and £32,000.
