The Opportunity:
As an Apprenticeship Manager - Engineering, you will provide effective leadership to the Work Based Tutors and support the delivery of high-quality apprenticeship standards. This role is essential in driving the school’s vision to be an outstanding, innovative, and customer-focused provider of apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Work Based Tutors to ensure efficient and effective delivery of apprenticeship standards.
- Lead curriculum innovation to meet the needs of learners and employers in line with national and local government agendas.
- Promote excellence in curriculum development and support the sharing of best practice.
- Support the Apprenticeship Director in managing performance through regular reviews and appraisals.
- Coordinate internal and external verification processes with awarding bodies and external verifiers.
- Ensure compliance with ESFA requirements and support OFSTED inspection readiness.
- Coordinate End Point Assessments (EPA) to ensure timely completion.
- Work with marketing and partners to raise the profile of apprenticeship provision and support growth.
- Support the development of new commercial and virtual apprenticeship courses.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- L3 Qualification in a related Apprenticeship area
- Recent experience in Apprenticeship delivery
- Experience of using college-wide systems including OneFile and Maytas
- Excellent IT skills with experience of using databases for managing apprenticeship delivery
- Experience working with Apprenticeship and curriculum teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and prioritising skills
- Knowledge of funding rules within Apprenticeships
- Good understanding of End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs)
Preferred
- Degree and/or relevant professional qualification
- L4 Internal Quality Assurance
- Management experience including responsibility for quality, staff, and Apprenticeship delivery
- Advanced user of Microsoft applications
