The Opportunity:

As an Apprenticeship Manager - Engineering, you will provide effective leadership to the Work Based Tutors and support the delivery of high-quality apprenticeship standards. This role is essential in driving the school’s vision to be an outstanding, innovative, and customer-focused provider of apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Work Based Tutors to ensure efficient and effective delivery of apprenticeship standards.
  • Lead curriculum innovation to meet the needs of learners and employers in line with national and local government agendas.
  • Promote excellence in curriculum development and support the sharing of best practice.
  • Support the Apprenticeship Director in managing performance through regular reviews and appraisals.
  • Coordinate internal and external verification processes with awarding bodies and external verifiers.
  • Ensure compliance with ESFA requirements and support OFSTED inspection readiness.
  • Coordinate End Point Assessments (EPA) to ensure timely completion.
  • Work with marketing and partners to raise the profile of apprenticeship provision and support growth.
  • Support the development of new commercial and virtual apprenticeship courses.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • L3 Qualification in a related Apprenticeship area
  • Recent experience in Apprenticeship delivery
  • Experience of using college-wide systems including OneFile and Maytas
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of using databases for managing apprenticeship delivery
  • Experience working with Apprenticeship and curriculum teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritising skills
  • Knowledge of funding rules within Apprenticeships
  • Good understanding of End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs)

Preferred

  • Degree and/or relevant professional qualification
  • L4 Internal Quality Assurance
  • Management experience including responsibility for quality, staff, and Apprenticeship delivery
  • Advanced user of Microsoft applications
