The Opportunity:
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the school’s curriculum. You will lead quality assurance strategies, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with sector standards and awarding body requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement quality assurance strategies across all curriculum areas.
- Monitor and evaluate curriculum standards, reporting findings to senior management.
- Coordinate the development of quality improvement frameworks aligned with sector best practice.
- Support the creation and maintenance of performance measurement systems to monitor student progress.
- Liaise with external awarding bodies to ensure compliance with quality assurance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators for attendance, retention, and attainment.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting for course reviews and self-assessment processes.
- Support the Head of Quality in monitoring progress against the school’s quality improvement plan.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree or level 4 qualification
- GCSE standard in English and maths
- Recognised Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification
- Experience in managing projects and quality assurance frameworks
- Experience in assuring curriculum performance and measuring the impact of quality improvement strategies
- Experience with FE management information systems
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
Preferred
- Specialist quality assurance qualification or training
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Experience supporting colleagues during Ofsted inspections or Office for Students QAA reviews
- Experience working as a Moderator, Senior Verifier, or External Quality Assurer (EQA)
- Experience in delivering staff development on data use and analysis
