The Opportunity:

As a Lecturer - NEET Provision, you will deliver practical and vocationally relevant sessions to learners who are not in education, employment, or training. This role is relationship-led and focuses on building confidence, resilience, and employability skills through construction and practical learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, practical and vocationally relevant sessions within the NEET Pathway Programme
  • Create a calm, supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and participation
  • Build positive and consistent relationships with learners, acting as a key adult role model
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with barriers to learning or participation
  • Work with small groups using flexible and restorative approaches to engagement and behaviour
  • Support learners in developing confidence, communication, teamwork, resilience and employability skills
  • Embed English, maths, digital and employability skills within practical delivery
  • Collaborate with Youth Engagement and Inclusion Workers and external partners to support learner progression

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience teaching or delivering vocational learning in construction or related areas
  • Experience engaging or supporting young people with barriers to learning
  • Experience building positive relationships with learners from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to adapt delivery to meet a wide range of learner needs

Preferred

  • Experience working with NEET learners or re-engagement provision
  • Experience with trauma-informed, restorative or relational approaches
  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or wellbeing needs
  • Practical industry experience within construction or related vocational areas
