The Opportunity:

As a Media and Graphics Technician, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning through the management of media and graphics facilities. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment, delivering technical support and creative content that enhances the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to teaching staff and ensure a lively and productive working environment.
  • Ensure access to classrooms, workshops, and studio equipment for staff and students.
  • Liaise with IT Services to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth event operations.
  • Prepare and manage materials and equipment for practical sessions and competitions.
  • Assist in group activities and supervise the use of specialist equipment.
  • Support internal and external bookings for the Esports arena and Games Studio.
  • Manage and update software licenses and track usage.
  • Record, edit, and create content for college social media and marketing.
  • Support students in project work, competitions, and enrichment activities.
  • Explore and implement innovative workflows and technologies in the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE in English and Maths
  • Minimum 3 years of related industry or Further Education experience, including running a multi-cam studio, gallery, and audio post-production
  • Solid background in creative arts disciplines
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Confident understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, Illustrator)
  • Audio and video recording and editing skills

Preferred

  • Degree in Media or Graphics
  • Background in Film & Television and Graphical Design
  • Experience with online radio
  • Networking, branding, and marketing experience
