Lead a successful Maths programme and drive excellence in education as a Maths Programme Leader.

The Opportunity:

As a Maths Programme Leader, you will lead and develop Maths provision, inspire learners, and contribute to the school’s mission of being "The Best Place to Learn and Work."

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Maths tutors to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Oversee curriculum planning, quality assurance, assessment, and student achievement.
  • Monitor and improve recruitment, retention, and progression of learners in Maths programmes.
  • Develop innovative approaches to Maths teaching in Further Education, embedding best practices.
  • Teach on Maths programmes as part of an agreed timetable, inspiring learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align teaching with the school’s strategic goals and values.
  • Support continuous improvement and professional development across the Maths department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in a relevant subject and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
  • Proven experience of leading Maths curriculum delivery in Further Education or secondary education.
  • Strong track record of improving student outcomes in Maths.
  • Effective people management skills, with the ability to support and develop a high-performing team.
  • Knowledge of current Further Education sector priorities and funding linked to Maths.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and tools.
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
  • Leadership experience in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
