The Opportunity:

As an Art and Design Technology Technician, you will support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in Art and Design Technology. This is a key role in a school that values innovation, inclusivity, and the development of both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and administrative support to teachers of Art and Design Technology.
• Offer technical guidance and support to students during lessons.
• Keep up to date with developments in Art and Design Technology.
• Prepare and maintain classroom equipment and materials.
• Design and prepare practical activities under the direction of the Head of Department.
• Manage the inventory of equipment and materials, and purchase new supplies when needed.
• Maintain display boards that showcase student work and reflect the school’s values.
• Ensure safe disposal of waste and maintain a clean and safe learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in a technical support role within an educational setting.
• Knowledge of Art and Design Technology equipment and materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Commitment to the school’s ethos of "the best in everyone."

Preferred

• Experience in preparing and delivering practical activities.
• Understanding of inclusive education practices.
• Experience with health and safety procedures in a school environment.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
