As the Art and Photography Subject Lead, you will inspire and guide students in developing their creative skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Art and Photography department, ensuring a high-quality and engaging curriculum.
- Develop and deliver innovative teaching strategies that support student achievement and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Manage resources, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Promote the arts within the school and wider community through events and exhibitions.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of creativity, inclusivity, and excellence.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Photography.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting.
- Strong organisational and evaluative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with digital tools and media in Art and Photography.
- Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
