The Opportunity:
As an Art Technician, you will provide essential support to the Art Department, enabling the delivery of high-quality art education. This role offers the chance to contribute creatively, share ideas with students, and develop your own artistic skills in a dynamic and inspiring setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Art Department with the preparation, maintenance, and management of art resources and equipment.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of art-related activities and events.
- Provide technical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and expand subject knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment for students and staff.
- Encourage and support students in the development of their artistic abilities.
- Keep accurate records and manage inventory of art supplies and materials.
- Participate in the development of new art programs and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A broad range of practical art skills and knowledge.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in an art-related role.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering art-based activities.
- Knowledge of art materials, techniques, and equipment.
- Experience with digital art tools and software.
- A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
