Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Art & Design lessons that align with BTEC and A Level specifications.
  • Support students in developing their creative skills and understanding of contemporary and historical art contexts.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high achievement and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in Art & Design education.
  • Provide individualized support and feedback to students to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Degree or equivalent qualification in Art & Design or a related field.
  • A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.
  • Experience teaching Art & Design at BTEC and A Level.
  • In-depth knowledge of Art & Design theory, practice, and current industry trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering creative curriculum content.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in Art & Design education.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and supporting diverse learners.
