SEND Support Practitioner (Term Time) – Join a team delivering exceptional support to learners with SEND.

The Opportunity:
As a SEND Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to learners with special educational needs or disabilities. You will contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted support to learners with SEND, both individually and in small groups.
- Develop and implement strategies to overcome learning barriers and promote student success.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience for all students.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to support their development.
- Promote the holistic wellbeing of students, ensuring their physical, emotional, and academic needs are met.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
- Support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good general education to at least level 3 and Maths and English to at least level 2.
- A Level 2 Learning Support qualification or willingness to achieve it in a timely manner.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting learners with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Understanding of strategies to overcome learning barriers and support student progress.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering support sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and curriculum design.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
