The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Art & Design Teacher to join a talented and supportive team. This role presents a unique opportunity to inspire and nurture students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, while contributing to a school undergoing exciting expansion and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Develop and implement creative and engaging teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and cross-school initiatives.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and training programs offered by the school and Trust.
- Monitor and assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Contribute to the school’s wider community through extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience in teaching Art & Design.
- Experience of teaching Art & Design at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Art & Design.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities when required.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering creative and innovative lessons that engage students.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Familiarity with the Achieve and Learn Trust and its values.
- Experience in collaborative working across a multi-academy trust.
