The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Art & Design Teacher to join a talented and supportive team. This role presents a unique opportunity to inspire and nurture students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, while contributing to a school undergoing exciting expansion and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement creative and engaging teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and cross-school initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and training programs offered by the school and Trust.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Contribute to the school’s wider community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience in teaching Art & Design.
  • Experience of teaching Art & Design at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Art & Design.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities when required.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering creative and innovative lessons that engage students.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with the Achieve and Learn Trust and its values.
  • Experience in collaborative working across a multi-academy trust.
