Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Criminology and Law, aligned with awarding organisation specifications.
- Assess student work regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitor and support student progress using the school’s in-house systems.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
- Lead and participate in extra-curricular activities related to Criminology and Law.
- Support the school’s mission by promoting inclusivity, academic excellence, and student wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Criminology and Law.
- Strong knowledge of the Criminology and Law curriculum and awarding organisation requirements.
- Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ability to assess and provide meaningful feedback to students.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading extra-curricular activities or trips.
- Experience with inclusive teaching practices.
- Experience in working within a large, multi-faceted educational institution.
- Familiarity with the use of digital learning tools and resources.
- Experience with safeguarding and student support procedures.
