Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage Three and Four.
  • Develop engaging and inclusive teaching strategies that support student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and ambitious curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students to help them thrive academically and personally.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Support the school’s mission to inspire, transform, and succeed through inclusive education.
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching English.
  • Experience of teaching across Key Stage Three and Four.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English.
  • Commitment to inclusion and student success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in leading or supporting curriculum development.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
