The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Art & Design Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on student learning. This role offers the chance to shape a creative and collaborative classroom environment while contributing to the development of a dynamic curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art & Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, including Food at KS3.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that enhances Design and Making skills.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Art & Design Technology curriculum.
  • Lead and deliver extracurricular activities in Art & Design Technology.
  • Support the values and ethos of the Design Faculty.
  • Continuously improve teaching and learning through schemes of work and medium-term planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to raise standards and expectations in the subject area.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to teach across a range of subjects at KS3.
  • Experience in the creative sector or vocational teaching.
  • Evidence of continually improving teaching and learning through planning and delivery.
  • Enthusiasm and knowledge to deliver lessons in Design and Technology and Art subjects.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading extracurricular activities.
  • Experience in developing curriculum frameworks such as Arts Mark or Design and Technology Mark.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
