The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality drama lessons to Key Stage 3 students.
  • Develop and implement creative and engaging drama curriculum.
  • Support students in developing their performance and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the faculty and trust.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the overall culture and ethos of the school.
  • Assist in extracurricular drama activities and events.
  • Provide pastoral support where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching drama at Key Stage 3.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take on leadership opportunities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching music or literacy.
  • Previous experience with ECTs or leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar environment.
