Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote confidence, resilience, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport.
  • Develop and implement an engaging extra-curricular sports programme, including netball, hockey, cricket, and football.
  • Support students in achieving success in GCSE and A Level PE qualifications.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and promote physical well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure they meet academic and personal goals.
  • Participate in the wider school community, contributing to events and initiatives that promote student engagement and well-being.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in PE and sport, incorporating new ideas into teaching and coaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Proven ability to inspire and engage students in physical activity and sport.
  • Experience in teaching PE at secondary level, ideally with GCSE and A Level qualifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in netball, hockey, cricket, and football.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular sports programmes.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices.
  • Knowledge of the latest developments in PE and sport education.
