The Opportunity:
As a Lead English Teacher, you will lead and inspire students across both Primary and Secondary age groups, delivering engaging lessons that foster a love of learning and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons that promote reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Lead and mentor other teachers, providing guidance and support to improve teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and effective teaching strategies.
- Support students with additional needs, ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions where needed.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and learning resources.
- Work closely with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons to students of all abilities.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Experience working with students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a school setting.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices and strategies.
- Experience with teaching across both Primary and Secondary age groups.
- Knowledge of vocational and alternative education pathways.
