Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Prepare students effectively for IGCSE Art and Design, including coursework and portfolio development
• Use a range of teaching strategies to develop students’ creativity, technical skills, and independent thinking
• Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including stretch and challenge
• Create a stimulating and visually engaging classroom environment that celebrates student work
• Support the development of a vibrant and engaging arts culture within the school
• Contribute to departmental leadership and collaborative culture
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject
• Experience teaching Art across KS3 and KS4
• Experience preparing students for IGCSE Art and Design
• Strong subject knowledge across a range of artistic disciplines
• Effective classroom management and organisational skills

Preferred

• Experience with curriculum development and assessment
• Experience with digital tools and technology in art education
• Experience in extracurricular art activities or community engagement
