  • Manage a large and busy department with a focus on organisation and teamwork.
  • Support and mentor students of all abilities, including those with high aspirations.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and events that promote the school’s arts programme.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
  • Stay up to date with contemporary art practices and incorporate these into teaching.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in art education.
  • Strong portfolio of artistic work and demonstrated expertise in drawing and painting.
  • Ability to teach across a range of art mediums.
  • Experience working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of diversity, inclusion and excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience in contemporary art practice.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
  • Experience with digital art tools and technologies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Previous experience in a large, busy school environment.
