Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a large and busy department with a focus on organisation and teamwork.
- Support and mentor students of all abilities, including those with high aspirations.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and events that promote the school’s arts programme.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
- Stay up to date with contemporary art practices and incorporate these into teaching.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in art education.
- Strong portfolio of artistic work and demonstrated expertise in drawing and painting.
- Ability to teach across a range of art mediums.
- Experience working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values of diversity, inclusion and excellence.
Preferred
- Experience in contemporary art practice.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
- Experience with digital art tools and technologies.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Previous experience in a large, busy school environment.
