The Opportunity:
As a Music Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across key stages and contribute to a thriving co-curricular programme. You will have the opportunity to lead ensembles and perform in prestigious venues, including Sinfonia Smith Square. This is an exciting role for a passionate educator looking to make a lasting impact on students' musical development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
- Lead and develop co-curricular music ensembles, including choral groups and instrumental ensembles.
- Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the Eduqas syllabus.
- Support students in achieving strong examination outcomes and progression to top music institutions.
- Organise and lead performance opportunities, including school concerts and external events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and student experience.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Participate in the school’s wider community and events as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in music.
- Experience teaching Music at KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
- Strong keyboard skills.
- Commitment to co-education and inclusive learning.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and take on additional responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in leading ensembles or performing groups.
- Experience with a range of musical genres including classical, rock, pop, jazz, and musical theatre.
- Familiarity with the Eduqas syllabus.
- Experience in preparing students for university and conservatoire applications.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
