The Opportunity:

As a Music Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across key stages and contribute to a thriving co-curricular programme. You will have the opportunity to lead ensembles and perform in prestigious venues, including Sinfonia Smith Square. This is an exciting role for a passionate educator looking to make a lasting impact on students' musical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Lead and develop co-curricular music ensembles, including choral groups and instrumental ensembles.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the Eduqas syllabus.
  • Support students in achieving strong examination outcomes and progression to top music institutions.
  • Organise and lead performance opportunities, including school concerts and external events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and student experience.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in the school’s wider community and events as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in music.
  • Experience teaching Music at KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Strong keyboard skills.
  • Commitment to co-education and inclusive learning.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading ensembles or performing groups.
  • Experience with a range of musical genres including classical, rock, pop, jazz, and musical theatre.
  • Familiarity with the Eduqas syllabus.
  • Experience in preparing students for university and conservatoire applications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
