The Opportunity:

As an Art Teacher, you will play a key role in nurturing students’ creativity and artistic skills across Key Stages 3–5. You will deliver engaging lessons that foster imagination, technical ability, and confidence, contributing to a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, stimulating art lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and student outcomes.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Creative Arts Faculty to enhance the art curriculum and student experience.
  • Support students in developing their artistic talents and preparing for assessments and exhibitions.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them grow and achieve their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in art education.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that celebrate creativity and the arts.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans
  • Strong classroom management skills to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Excellent communication skills with students and colleagues
  • Demonstrated success in teaching art across a range of abilities

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Product Design and/or Food
  • Experience with teaching students across Key Stages 3–5
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on student personal development and character education
