Key Responsibilities:

• Support the leadership and management of the Science department.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve teaching standards and student outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and assessment practices.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Science staff at all levels.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Science department to ensure continuous improvement.
• Work closely with senior leaders to align departmental goals with school-wide objectives.
• Promote a culture of professional development and innovation in Science education.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including parents and external partners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in Science teaching and leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of Science curriculum, including GCSE and A Level qualifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team of Science staff.

Preferred

• Experience in a leadership or management role within education.
• Familiarity with initial teacher training and staff development programs.
• Experience with National Teaching School initiatives.
• Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes in Science.
