The Opportunity:
A Part Time PE Teacher is needed to join a dynamic and inclusive sports department. The role involves delivering high-quality PE lessons and leading extra-curricular activities that promote lifelong engagement with sport. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons to students from Reception to Year 13.
- Organize and lead sporting events, including fixtures and competitions.
- Support the development of a thriving extra-curricular sports programme.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s PE provision.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Promote the physical, social, and emotional development of pupils through sport.
- Plan and deliver activities that encourage participation and enjoyment in physical activity.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students during sports activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree and QTS.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to holistic and forward-thinking education.
- Experience in organizing and managing sporting events.
- A valid driving licence for travel to fixtures and events.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching across a wide age range.
- Background in extra-curricular sports leadership.
- Experience with inclusive and mixed-ability teaching.
- Knowledge of child-centred approaches to education.
- Experience in pastoral care or student support.
