The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Russian Language Assistant to join a dynamic team and support Russian language instruction at GCSE, A Level, and IB levels. This part-time role offers the potential to expand into classroom teaching and provides a supportive environment for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Russian language teaching and conduct conversation lessons in Russian.
• Support students at GCSE, A Level, and IB levels with language instruction and learning.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and deliver engaging lessons.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
• Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering academic excellence and student well-being.
• Maintain high standards of teaching and student engagement.
• Support the school’s commitment to innovation and interdisciplinary learning.
• Engage in pastoral care and student support activities as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Native or fluent speaker of Russian with excellent language and literary skills.
• Ability to conduct conversation lessons in Russian at GCSE, A Level, and IB levels.
• Commitment to supporting student learning and academic achievement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work part-time, with up to 5 sessions per week.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching or assisting with language instruction.
• Familiarity with international curricula such as IB or A Level.
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
