The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Russian Language Assistant to join a dynamic team and support Russian language instruction at GCSE, A Level, and IB levels. This part-time role offers the potential to expand into classroom teaching and provides a supportive environment for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Russian language teaching and conduct conversation lessons in Russian.
- Support students at GCSE, A Level, and IB levels with language instruction and learning.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and deliver engaging lessons.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering academic excellence and student well-being.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and student engagement.
- Support the school’s commitment to innovation and interdisciplinary learning.
- Engage in pastoral care and student support activities as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Native or fluent speaker of Russian with excellent language and literary skills.
- Ability to conduct conversation lessons in Russian at GCSE, A Level, and IB levels.
- Commitment to supporting student learning and academic achievement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work part-time, with up to 5 sessions per week.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or assisting with language instruction.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB or A Level.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
