The Opportunity:

As a Classroom Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering a high-quality learning experience for students in Reception to Year 6. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with young children and contributing to a collaborative and supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and assist the class teacher in managing the classroom and supporting students.
• Provide individualised care and attention to students with additional needs.
• Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Work closely with other members of staff to ensure the smooth running of the school.
• Support students during breaks and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Communicate effectively with the class teacher and other staff members.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support the class teacher.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

• Previous experience as a Classroom Assistant or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of child development and behaviour management.
• Experience with supporting students with additional needs.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and students.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Annual salary of £24,625.
• Term-time only permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
• Flexible start and finish times where possible.
