The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Principal Inclusion, you will play a key role in leading and supporting the school’s commitment to inclusivity and student success. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in a supportive and high-achieving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school’s inclusion strategy, ensuring all students have equal access to learning and support.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Support staff in delivering inclusive teaching practices and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion initiatives and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams to ensure the well-being and academic progress of all students.
  • Represent the school at internal and external events, promoting the school’s values and mission.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to inclusion and equality.
  • Support the development of a leadership programme that empowers students and staff alike.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven experience in managing a high-achieving faculty.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Strong commitment to the STAR values and the school’s mission.
  • Experience in educational leadership and inclusion strategies.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading inclusion initiatives within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Experience with leadership development and character education programmes.
  • Familiarity with multi-academy trust structures and operations.
