The Opportunity:

As a Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in driving the school’s mission to deliver outstanding education and leadership development. This is a leadership position that offers the chance to shape the future of young people in a high-achieving, values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Principal in the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the school.
  • Oversee and monitor academic performance, ensuring sustained excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement school policies and initiatives aligned with the school’s leadership and academic vision.
  • Support staff development and professional growth through mentorship and training opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes the well-being and achievement of all students.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to ensure the successful delivery of the school’s leadership programme and curriculum.
  • Engage with the wider school community, including parents and external partners, to build strong relationships and support the school’s mission.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding and Ofsted standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven experience in senior leadership and management within a school setting.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high academic achievement and sustained improvement.
  • Strong commitment to the values of the school and the Star Academies trust.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a school or department within a high-performing academy or school.
  • Experience with leadership development programmes or initiatives.
  • Experience working in a faith-based or inclusive educational setting.
  • Knowledge of Star Academies’ values and mission.
