The Opportunity:

A Physics Science Teacher is needed to contribute to the leadership and growth of the Science department. This role offers the chance to inspire students, deliver high-quality instruction, and work within a supportive and successful team focused on academic excellence and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Physics lessons that maximise student engagement and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Science curriculum.
  • Support students in reaching their full potential through differentiated instruction and pastoral care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and improve the school’s strong academic record.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events that promote the school’s ethos and values.
  • Provide regular feedback and assessment to monitor student progress and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
  • Engage in professional development and continue to develop expertise in Physics and Science education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics and Science.
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to educational excellence and student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
  • Experience with inclusive education and supporting students with special needs.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Familiarity with Church of England values and ethos.
  • Experience in extra-curricular leadership or involvement.
