The Opportunity:

We are seeking an ambitious and talented Assistant Principal Mathematics to lead the development of Mathematics across the school and drive up educational standards. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on student outcomes and contribute to a supportive and dynamic leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically lead and develop the Mathematics department across all key stages.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across KS3 to KS5, ensuring exceptional outcomes for all students.
  • Support and inspire staff through professional development and leadership.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to improve school-wide standards and practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the school’s key drivers and values.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to teach across KS3 to KS5.
  • A track record of delivering successful student outcomes and improving teaching standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and school improvement.

Preferred

  • Experience in school improvement and leading departmental strategies.
  • Familiarity with the context and values of a school with a strong focus on care and community.
